Frequently Asked Questions
What is Speed Run?
Speed Run is an endless word search challenge where you solve puzzles against the clock. Each puzzle gives you a set time to find all hidden words. Complete a puzzle and the remaining seconds become bonus points. The game ends when time runs out.
How does the tier system work?
As you complete more puzzles, you progress through 6 tiers: Warm Up (0-9 puzzles, 20s each), Getting Started (10-24, 15s), On Fire (25-49, 10s), Speed Demon (50-74, 8s), Unstoppable (75-99, 7s), and Legendary (100+, 6-5s). Each tier reduces your time per puzzle.
How is scoring calculated?
Your score is calculated as: (puzzles completed x 100) + (total time bonus x 5). Time bonus is the sum of all leftover seconds from each puzzle. Faster solving means higher scores.
What are reveals?
Reveals highlight the starting cell of a hidden word to help you when you are stuck. You get 3 reveals per run. Use them wisely — they can save precious seconds in the later, harder tiers.
Does difficulty change during a Speed Run?
Yes! Puzzles 1-9 use Medium difficulty (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal words). From puzzle 10 onward, difficulty switches to Hard, adding backward and reverse-diagonal word placements. Word count also increases from 3 to 4 words per puzzle after puzzle 5.
