Online Word Search provides a free, browser-based word search puzzle game. Our services include:

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice.

User Conduct

When using our Site, you agree not to:

• Use offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate names on the leaderboard
• Attempt to manipulate scores or game mechanics through cheating, automation, or exploits
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site
• Use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Collect or harvest any information from other users
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Site

We reserve the right to remove any leaderboard entries or ban users who violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without notice.

Leaderboard and Scores

Our leaderboard feature allows you to submit scores with an optional display name. By submitting a score, you agree that:

• Your display name and score will be publicly visible to all Site visitors
• We may remove or modify entries that violate our Terms or contain inappropriate content
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or persistence of leaderboard data
• Scores may be reset or cleared at our discretion for maintenance or updates

Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Online Word Search and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Site or services without our prior written consent. You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our software.

Word lists and puzzle content are compiled from various sources and may include common vocabulary words. Individual words are not claimed as proprietary, but the compilation, presentation, and game mechanics are our intellectual property.

Third-Party Services

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

We use third-party services for hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and analytics (Google Analytics). Your use of our Site is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ONLINE WORD SEARCH, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Site
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Site
• Any content obtained from the Site
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is less.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Online Word Search and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Site.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. The waiver of any such right or provision will be effective only if in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative of Online Word Search.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Site after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
