Boss Mode hides one long word of 9 to 11 letters in a 20x20 grid and gives you 60 seconds to find it. Every miss costs 3 seconds. If the clock runs out, the word is revealed and the round is over. It is the hardest version of one word search on the site.

Scan for the rarest letter in the word first, since fewer decoy letters match it. Check all eight directions from each candidate, including backwards. Because the grid is seeded with near-misses, confirm the whole word before you highlight it; a wrong guess costs a miss.
